Animal Cruelty – The unfairness of which people treat animals

 1. Sitting on Elephants

Elephants' spines cannot support the weight of people and doing so all day can lead to permanent spinal injuries. This can lead to death and immense pain. There are further complications from having a chair attached to their backs. This chair rubs on their backs, causing blisters that can become infected. Wild elephants generally won't let humans ride on top of them. In order to tame a wild elephant, it is tortured as a baby to completely break its spirit. The process is called Phajaan, or “the crush”.

2. Greyhound Dogs Killed for Being too Slow

Another example of animal cruelty is when Greyhound’s race. If they injure themselves or become too slow, they get killed. Lots of these are young pups who have lost competitiveness. A key issue to emerge from the 2016 inquiry was the euthanasia of healthy greyhounds. Evidence suggests that, over 12 years, between 48,891 and 68,448 dogs were killed because they were considered “too slow to pay their way or were unsuitable for racing”. On average around five dogs are killed at official races each week as a result of greyhound racing.

3. Cockfighting

To rooster that are bred for fighting have their talons and beaks sharpened to daggers. They will fight to death and get jeered until one of them die. Cockfighting still persists across the

nation in all sorts of communities and among all sorts of people.
