 The UK and EU are keen for compromises concerning Irish Sea Border Checks

The UK's Brexit minister Lord Frost has urged the EU to show common sense while in talks about post-Brexit legislation in Northen Island.

The Conservative peer is meeting his EU counterpart - Maros Sefcovic - - in London to discuss different ways to reduce disruption at the Irish Sea border.

Several delayed border checks are going to start next month, but both sides are calling for each  other to compromise.

Mr Sefcovic has warned against "quick fixes" to issues about borders.

The UK and EU officials have been in talks over simplifying the Northern Ireland Protocol, part of the UK's 2019 Brexit withdrawal deal.

This made a trade border between Northern Ireland and the UK so they can prevent freight checks along the Irish land border.
